Kotobukiya HMM 1/72 RBOZ-003 Gojulas Marking Plus Ver.

The legendary RBOZ-003 Gojulas returns to Kotobukiya’s HMM Zoids lineup in the Marking Plus Ver., combining the massive proportions and intricate mechanical construction of the original HMM release with an expanded decal selection and additional clear parts for greater customization.

As one of the largest models in the HMM series, Gojulas has an enormous finished presence at approximately 322 mm tall and 513.5 mm long. Its proportions have been redesigned in the distinctive HMM style to give the dinosaur-type Zoid a more aggressive and powerful appearance while preserving the unmistakable silhouette of the Helic Republic’s iconic heavy combat machine.

The kit contains more than 1,000 parts, creating an extensive building experience packed with layered armor, exposed mechanical structures, internal components, weapons, and articulation points. Large-diameter poly caps are incorporated throughout the joints to support the enormous body and help maintain stability once the model is fully assembled.

Despite its massive size, Gojulas features articulation throughout the body for a variety of powerful poses. The movable heel sections allow the model to lean forward into a more aggressive posture, making it possible to recreate roaring, advancing, and battle-ready configurations rather than limiting the model to a simple upright display.

The head cockpit hatch can be opened and closed, and an included pilot figure can be placed inside. The jaw and surrounding head structure contribute to the model’s expressive dinosaur-like appearance, allowing the completed Gojulas to be displayed in imposing attack and roaring poses.

Additional mechanical detail is built into the body itself. The Zoid Core housed inside the abdomen can be removed, providing another layer of internal detail for builders who enjoy displaying the mechanical construction beneath the armor.

The tail contains several functional weapon gimmicks. The container block at the end of the tail can be opened to deploy and extend the Maxer 30mm Beam Cannon. The Maxer 50mm Cannons mounted along the sides of the tail can also be folded into their stored positions, adding more mechanical interaction to the completed model.

A major feature of the Marking Plus Ver. is its expanded decal selection. In addition to the markings included with the previous version, the set contains newly designed decals inspired by the early Zoids series. A variety of Republic emblems, identification markings, and caution markings can be applied throughout the armor to create a more detailed and personalized finish.

The kit also includes a complete set of colorless clear parts in addition to the standard colored clear components. These bonus parts are particularly useful for builders who want to paint transparent sections in custom colors or create their own lighting and finishing effects.
