Kotobukiya HMM 1/72 Zoids Gojulas The Ogre

Gojulas The Ogre joins Kotobukiya’s HMM Zoids lineup as an enormous 1/72 scale model kit packed with heavy weaponry, mechanical gimmicks, and an exceptionally imposing silhouette. Based on the RBOZ-003 Gojulas and upgraded to The Ogre specification, this version adds a wide range of new equipment and armor parts that transform the already massive Gojulas into one of the most heavily armed Zoids in the HMM series.

The finished model stands approximately 370 mm tall and measures around 590 mm in total length, giving it tremendous shelf presence. With around 1,400 parts, this is an extensive build intended for experienced modelers and collectors looking for a large, detailed centerpiece project.

One of the kit’s standout features is the pair of Long Range Buster Cannons mounted along the back. Each cannon measures approximately 360 mm in length and includes an extendable rear section. The large magazine sections are separately constructed and removable, adding even more mechanical detail to the weapon system and making the completed model especially impressive in a long-range firing configuration.

The 8-Barreled Missile Pods mounted on the torso feature opening hatches. Pulling the sensor section allows the missile pod covers to open, revealing the internal weapon system and creating a more dramatic combat-ready appearance.

Flexible energy cables are equipped with internal wire, allowing them to be positioned naturally around the body and weapon systems. The energy tanks mounted on the back also feature deployable heat-dissipation fins, adding another mechanical gimmick to the heavily upgraded rear section.

The enormous tail incorporates a large stabilizer that can extend and retract. It can also be moved into an outrigger-style position to help support the massive body when the Long Range Buster Cannons are deployed, creating a convincing heavy-artillery firing stance.

Additional mechanical detail is hidden throughout the model. Removing the main generator section on the torso exposes the internal Zoid Core, while the cockpit canopy can be opened and closed to reveal the included Helic Republic pilot figure.

The head features articulated Hyper Bite Fangs with a pull-out joint that allows the jaw to open wider, making it possible to create powerful roaring and attack poses. The articulated heels also allow the massive body to lean forward for a more aggressive stance.

The tail-tip container block can be opened to deploy the AMD 30mm Beam Cannon, while the Maxer Multipurpose Machine Guns mounted along the sides can be folded into their stored configuration. These smaller weapon gimmicks complement the enormous main armament and give the model even more display options.

Attachment parts are also included for the Long Range Buster Cannons, allowing the weapons to be mounted on select compatible Zoids using their Zoid Cap connection points. This provides additional customization possibilities for builders who own other HMM Zoids.
