From Mobile Suit Gundam Side Story: Space, To the End of a Flash, the RX-78-5 Gundam Unit 5 is recreated in Master Grade 1/100 scale with its distinctive red-accented color scheme, heavy weapon loadout, and specialized space-combat equipment.

Developed as part of the RX-78 Gundam series, Gundam Unit 5 features a heavily modified appearance that combines the familiar proportions of the original Gundam with additional armor, thrusters, and mission-specific equipment. Its enlarged shoulder and leg components give the mobile suit a more powerful silhouette while retaining the recognizable styling of the RX-78 family.

The Master Grade construction provides a detailed internal structure beneath the armor and supports a broad range of articulation throughout the shoulders, elbows, waist, hips, knees, and ankles. This allows the model to achieve firing stances, close-combat poses, and dynamic space-battle configurations.
