Eddas 1/100 NGMPM01 Nomes Commander Type Model Kit

The Eddas 1/100 NGMPM01 Nomes Commander Type Model Kit is a heavily equipped original mecha kit built around a metal-reinforced internal frame, military-inspired styling, and an exceptionally large selection of weapons and display accessories.

Designed as a versatile command unit, the Nomes features a more grounded and utilitarian appearance than many traditional hero-style mecha. Its angular armor, muted blue-gray color scheme, layered mechanical detailing, and extensive weapon storage give it the look of a purpose-built front-line combat machine.

Standing approximately 19 cm tall when assembled, the Nomes is comparable in size to a typical 1/100 scale Master Grade model while offering the added weight and structural feel of an internal zinc-alloy frame. The completed model weighs approximately 220 g before weapons are attached, giving it a substantial presence both in hand and on display.

The internal construction combines POM, ABS, PS, and zinc-alloy components, creating a balance between articulation, structural rigidity, and detailed exterior armor. The metal-reinforced skeleton helps support the extensive equipment loadout while providing firm joints for dynamic poses.

One of the defining features of the Nomes is its ability to represent either a Commander Type or standard production unit. Two interchangeable head designs are included: a dual-eye commander-style head and a visor-style standard head. Builders can switch between the two configurations or use multiple kits to create an entire squad with visually distinct leadership and rank-and-file units.

The armor design follows a strong military-mecha aesthetic, with broad surfaces, functional panel lines, and layered components throughout the body. Rather than relying on overly decorative styling, the Nomes emphasizes mechanical structure and equipment integration, making it especially appealing to builders who enjoy realistic or mass-production-inspired mecha designs.

Articulation is built directly into the metal-reinforced frame, allowing the Nomes to maintain a wide range of poses despite its heavier construction and substantial weapon loadout.

The leg design incorporates linked armor movement, with sections of the thigh and lower-leg armor shifting as the knee bends. This exposes additional mechanical detail underneath and helps preserve the appearance of natural movement during more aggressive poses.

The Nomes is exceptionally well armed.

Its ranged arsenal includes a semi-automatic rifle, submachine gun, pistol, and a pair of machine cannons. The machine cannons can be attached using articulated mechanical arms, allowing them to be positioned independently around the unit for additional firepower.

A large shield is also included, giving the Nomes a more traditional rifle-and-shield combat configuration when builders want a cleaner military appearance.

For close combat, the kit includes a large blade, two beam sabers, and two folding knives. The folding knives can be stored directly within the armor, reinforcing the Nomes' emphasis on integrated equipment and battlefield practicality.

One of the most interesting aspects of the kit is that its weapons are not simply loose accessories.

The Nomes incorporates multiple weapon storage and mounting systems, including a rear weapon rack, leg-mounted holsters, and additional attachment points around the waist and body. This allows much of the included arsenal to remain attached to the model even when it is not actively being held.

Builders can therefore create a fully equipped configuration where the Nomes appears to carry its complete battlefield loadout rather than leaving unused weapons sitting beside the display.

The kit includes four pairs of interchangeable hands, providing fists, relaxed hands, open palms, and weapon-holding configurations. The thumbs are separately articulated, helping the hands adapt naturally to different weapons and posing situations.

Another major highlight is the included hangar-style display base.

Instead of providing only a simple action stand, the Nomes comes with a detailed maintenance and storage environment designed to complement the military theme of the machine.

The hangar base includes weapon storage pylons, mechanical maintenance arms, a movable elevator platform, a circular maintenance gantry, and miniature crew figures. These components allow builders to create an entire maintenance-bay scene around the Nomes rather than simply displaying the finished model by itself.

The elevator platform can be positioned at different heights, while the mechanical arms and surrounding equipment can be arranged around the model to create maintenance, rearming, or deployment scenes.

The included weapon pylons also provide dedicated storage for the Nomes' extensive arsenal, making the display base useful even when the model is shown in a lighter configuration.

A conventional display support arm is also included, giving builders the option of using the hangar environment or posing the Nomes in more dynamic airborne and action-oriented positions.

Surface detailing can be enhanced further using the included water-slide decals, which provide additional unit markings and mechanical details across the armor.

The kit also includes a sheet of 3D detail stickers, designed for areas such as weapon muzzles, sensors, and scope elements. Combined with panel lining and optional painting, these details can give the completed Nomes an even more technical and realistic finish.

With approximately 37 plastic runners plus metal frame components, the Nomes offers a substantial building experience aimed at builders who enjoy more involved 1/100 scale kits. The kit uses snap-fit construction, meaning glue is not required for normal assembly.

The combination of a metal internal frame, extensive articulation, interchangeable head options, integrated weapon storage, large arsenal, and detailed hangar display system makes the Eddas NGMPM01 Nomes Commander Type significantly more than a conventional model kit.

It works equally well as a standalone command machine or as the centerpiece of a larger squad display.

For collectors looking for something outside the traditional Gundam lineup, the Nomes offers a distinctive combination of military-inspired design, premium metal-frame construction, and an unusually complete accessory package.

Whether displayed fully armed with every weapon attached, equipped in a simpler rifle-and-shield configuration, or positioned inside its detailed maintenance hangar, the Eddas 1/100 NGMPM01 Nomes Commander Type delivers excellent shelf presence and an impressive amount of customization straight from the box.
