Experience the pinnacle of Gunpla presentation with the MGEX 1/100 Mighty Strike Freedom Gundam, the third entry in Bandai Spirits’ Master Grade Extreme lineup. Based on the ultimate form of Kira Yamato’s mobile suit from Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom, this release combines the Strike Freedom Gundam Type II with the Proud Defender and centers its design around the theme of “Iridescent Expression.”

The kit makes extensive use of multiple metallic finishes to create a rich, layered appearance throughout the frame and armor. Mechanical Core Plating is applied behind clear components to create a deeper visual effect, while different types of gold plating and metallic-gloss injection molding are used together to produce varied tones across the internal structure. The result is a more dimensional metallic appearance than a single uniform gold finish.

The internal frame is designed with frame-linked articulation gimmicks that allow major sections of the body to move together in a more natural way. This helps the Mighty Strike Freedom maintain a powerful silhouette while supporting dynamic sword attacks, firing poses, wide stances, and airborne displays.

The Proud Defender backpack is a major visual highlight of the kit. Its large wing structure incorporates a sliding separation gimmick, allowing the wings to expand and change their silhouette for more dramatic display configurations. Combined with the metallic detailing of the main body, the Proud Defender gives the completed model an especially elaborate and imposing presence.

The Anti-Ship Sword Futsunomitama is included as one of the kit’s signature weapons, providing the model with a large close-combat option suited to powerful finishing poses. A Prototype Type 35 Modified Railgun is also included, expanding the ranged weapon loadout and allowing the completed model to recreate additional combat configurations.

Dedicated parts are provided to reproduce the deployment of the Disruptor, adding another specialized feature from the Mighty Strike Freedom’s equipment. Two Beam Rifles and two Beam Sabers are included as well, giving builders a broad selection of ranged and melee display options.

Arm-mounted Beam Shield effect parts are included for defensive poses, while the articulation of the frame allows these effects to be combined naturally with other weapons. The combination of beam effects, metallic surfaces, and the large Proud Defender wings creates a strong visual contrast in both standing and airborne displays.

Character figures of Kira Yamato and Lacus Clyne are included in both seated and standing forms, allowing builders to add additional character detail to the completed display. A dedicated display stand is also included to support the model in elevated poses and help showcase the full span of the Proud Defender.

The kit uses snap-fit construction, allowing the extensive frame, armor, and equipment to be assembled without glue. Decals are included to add fine markings and additional surface detail, completing the premium presentation expected from the MGEX line.

With its layered metallic finishes, Mechanical Core Plating, frame-linked articulation, elaborate Proud Defender, specialized weapon loadout, character figures, and dedicated display stand, the MGEX Mighty Strike Freedom Gundam is designed as a centerpiece-level 1/100 scale release for fans of Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom and advanced Gunpla builders.
