Deploy to the front lines with the RG 1/144 Gundam Ground Type, bringing the rugged RX-79[G] from Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team into the Real Grade lineup with dense mechanical detailing, realistic military styling, and articulation designed around ground-combat poses.

The Gundam Ground Type’s utilitarian design is especially well suited to the RG format, with layered armor, exposed mechanical elements, and fine surface detailing reproduced throughout the compact 1/144 scale body. The newly developed internal structure provides a strong foundation for expressive posing while maintaining the solid, practical appearance of the original mobile suit.

Articulation is concentrated around the feet, waist, hips, and legs, allowing the model to achieve the low, grounded stances associated with the RX-79[G]. Kneeling firing poses, braced cannon positions, and defensive shield stances can all be recreated with a natural silhouette, making the kit ideal for battlefield-style displays.

The chest incorporates opening panels that reveal the built-in Vulcan cannons, adding a functional mechanical gimmick to the upper body. The cockpit hatch can also be opened, further enhancing the realistic machine-like presentation expected from the Real Grade series.

Beam Saber storage is reproduced inside the legs, with opening saber racks that allow the weapons to be attached or removed. This detail adds both play value and mechanical authenticity while keeping the Gundam’s equipment integrated directly into the body.

The backpack-mounted weapon container is fully functional and can be raised or lowered for different display configurations. Its internal weapon rack moves together with the side panel and includes a locking mechanism, allowing the storage system to be displayed in both closed and deployed states.

A complete ground-combat weapon loadout is included, featuring the 100mm Machine Gun, 180mm Cannon, Rocket Launcher, two Beam Sabers, and Shield. These weapons allow builders to recreate a wide range of combat scenarios, from mobile infantry-style engagements to long-range artillery support.

The head antenna can be assembled in either white or yellow, providing an additional display choice. Interchangeable hand parts support different weapon grips and expressive poses, while the included foil stickers and Realistic Decals add fine markings and mechanical accents throughout the model.

A dedicated shield display effect part and dirt mound-style display base are included to enhance battlefield scenes. These accessories complement the Gundam Ground Type’s practical, terrestrial combat design and help create more immersive diorama-style displays.

With its newly developed RG frame, extensive ground-combat articulation, opening armor gimmicks, functional weapon storage, and complete arsenal, the RG Gundam Ground Type delivers a highly detailed and versatile representation of one of the most iconic mobile suits from The 08th MS Team.
