30MF Yoroi-Shinden Samurai Troopers Yamato of the Wilderness

30MF Yoroi-Shinden Samurai Troopers Yamato of the Wilderness

The 30MF Yoroi-Shinden Samurai Troopers Yamato of the Wilderness brings Yamato from the TV anime Yoroi-Shinden Samurai Troopers, scheduled to begin broadcasting in January 2026, into Bandai’s 30 MINUTES FANTASY model kit lineup.

Designed in the 30MF format, Yamato combines character-focused articulation, layered armor construction, interchangeable equipment, and expressive display options in a highly customizable plastic model kit.

One of the biggest features of the kit is the ability to transform Yamato from his lighter Under Gear configuration into the fully armored Yoroi Gear form through interchangeable parts.

This allows builders to recreate both stages of the character’s appearance using a single model.

In the Under Gear configuration, Yamato has a lighter and more agile silhouette, allowing the articulation of the base figure to stand out clearly.

By replacing and attaching the included armor components, the model can then be transformed into the more elaborate Yoroi Gear, dramatically changing the overall appearance with the addition of samurai-inspired armor.

The Yoroi Gear design combines traditional Japanese armor motifs with the stylized fantasy-mecha aesthetic of Yoroi-Shinden Samurai Troopers.

Layered shoulder armor, chest protection, waist armor, and additional leg components create a much more imposing silhouette while preserving the articulation needed for dynamic combat poses.

The kit also includes special parts for recreating the Yoroi Gear summoning scene.

Dedicated hand parts and an effect piece allow builders to display Yamato during the transformation or armor-summoning sequence, providing an additional presentation option beyond standard combat poses.

Character expression is another major focus of the kit.

Two face parts with factory-applied tampo printing are included, allowing the model to achieve a detailed and finished appearance straight from the box.

A third unprinted face part is also supplied for builders who want additional customization.

The included water-slide decal sheet provides multiple facial-expression options, allowing the builder to choose from a variety of eyes and expressions and apply them to the blank face part.

This creates far more flexibility than a fixed set of preprinted faces and makes it possible to customize Yamato’s expression to match different scenes or poses.

For additional detail, the kit includes both standard stickers and jewel stickers.

The jewel stickers are used to reproduce selected decorative areas with a brighter, more reflective appearance, helping emphasize the armor’s signature details without requiring painting.

Yamato’s primary weapon is the Spear of the Wilderness.

This long polearm is designed to complement the character’s armored samurai appearance and provides a wide variety of posing options.

The spear can be used for thrusting poses, wide sweeping attacks, defensive stances, or more dramatic two-handed combat displays.

Because the 30MF body is designed with extensive articulation, Yamato can hold the spear in both restrained standing poses and more dynamic action-oriented configurations.

The kit includes a full selection of interchangeable hand parts to support different weapon grips, gestures, and transformation poses.

Additional joint parts are also included, providing further flexibility for mounting armor and accessories.

Like other entries in the 30 MINUTES FANTASY series, Yamato is designed around Bandai’s modular construction philosophy.

The body uses a combination of articulated joints and interchangeable
